7/25/2024 Stocks rose on Thursday as Wall Street attempted to recover from the worst session since 2022 for the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite. The Dow Jones Industrial Average outperformed, surging 500 points, or 1.3%, as IBM rallied more than 5% for its best day since January. The S&P 500 rose 1%, while the Nasdaq Composite added 0.9%. The Russell 2000 gained 2% as investors continued their rotation into small caps.

7/24/2024 Stocks fell Wednesday after underwhelming reports from two mega-cap tech companies dented investor sentiment, putting the Nasdaq Composite on track for its worst day since December 2022. The tech-heavy Nasdaq dropped 3.35%, while the S&P 500 slid 2.15%.

Today has become more of a FEAR Flush on the Big 7 & high momentum Stocks, so we have lowered the Sell Stop Losses on most positions that should retest the recent highs again.

7/23/2024 The S&P 500 hovered near the flatline Tuesday as traders readying for earnings reports from major companies. The S&P 500 was little changed after notching its best day in more than a month, while the Nasdaq Composite added about 0.1%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average edged up 37 points, or about 0.1%.

7/22/2024 The S&P 500 rose Monday due to a bounce in tech shares after the broad market index suffered its worst weekly loss since April last week. The benchmark climbed 0.9%, while the Nasdaq Composite advanced 1.4%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 100 points, or 0.3%. Nvidia popped 4%, recovering some of its 8% pullback from last week. Other major tech stocks such as Meta Platforms, Alphabet and Apple also rose more than 1%. CrowdStrike was the worst performer in the S&P, dropping around 14% and building on last week’s nearly 18% loss.
