Buy / Sell Signals

Markets were higher again today but the S&P 500 Index now must make new Highs for this rally to continue.  The NASDAQ 100 Index was able to make New Highs today, but the DOW 30 Index has become weaker and is struggling to get back above the Red Line. 

The Low Market Volume is not Bullish, and most of the Money Wave Buy Signals have not been strong for over a month. Also the very Largest Stocks are going up more, which have a big weighting in the S&P 500  and NAS 100 Indices. This tends to mask the weakness in the breadth of the Market.

Markets were higher today as the S&P 500 Index bounced nicely up off the Red Line (50-day avg.) Now it must make new Highs for this rally to continue.  The DOW 30 Index has become weaker and is still below the Red Line. But the NASDAQ 100 is now back up near Highs. So the Money is basically rotating between the Indices and not leaving the Markets.

But the Low Volume is worry some, and historically you need heavy Buying to go much higher. Also the very Largest Stocks are going up more, which have a big weighting in the S&P 500  and NAS 100 Indices. This tends to mask the weakness in the breadth of the Market. Purposely done?  Don’t know, but historically this happens in a tired Market.

Markets were lower today as the Herd finally started to worry about Inflation and Higher Interest Rates. US Dollar Gapped Up again today on expectations of Higher Interest Rates later from a growing Economy. The NASDAQ 100 Tech Fund (QQQ) is holding up very well today compared to the other Indices.

The DOW 30, NYSE and Small Cap Indices are currently below the Red Lines (50-day avgs.) but are quickly down in the Green Zones (probably too late to Sell for the Short Term). Looks like the Markets had a Short Term  “Double Top”.

Markets were mixed today as the US Dollar Gapped Up and the Big Techs liked that. The Dollar was up again on expectations of Higher Interest Rates later from a growing Economy. The NASDAQ 100 Tech Fund (QQQ) made a New High today. The DOW 30 and Small Caps were lower.

Markets were mostly lower again today as the FED said Inflation is not a problem, and they will keep Printing at full speed. However, the US Dollar shot up and Metals dropped as the FED also said that Inflation could end up being a problem (FED will probably tighten sooner than expected).
